People before programming
Connection is not a scheduled activity. The village is designed so the easiest choice is to share a meal, make something, or join what is already happening.
A SOCIAL LIVING VILLAGE • AUSTIN, TEXAS
A place where great meals, easy friendship, meaningful work, nature, and contribution are not the retreat. They are the operating system.

The first amenity is other people.
THE THESIS
We organized cities around doors, cars, appointments, purchases, and private screens. Friendship became something to schedule. Belonging became something to search for.
LIGHTPORTAL reverses that architecture. Walk outside and your people are already there. Food is shared. Work has edges. You are needed for something. The day keeps presenting reasons to come alive.
CULTURE BY DESIGN
01
Connection is not a scheduled activity. The village is designed so the easiest choice is to share a meal, make something, or join what is already happening.
02
Residents help shape dinners, gardens, projects, rituals, and play. Everyone contributes; nobody is reduced to a guest being served.
03
The goal is not a beautiful interruption. It is a durable way to live, work, create, recover attention, and belong.
THE PATH
One coherent journey, with a real place to land on the other side.
ARRIVE • 7 days
Step out of the feed and into the place. Devices go quiet. Meals, sleep, movement, nature, and real conversation become the first week.
REWIRE • 4–6 weeks
A structured, work-compatible season for changing patterns in the company of people doing the same. Coaching and clinical care, when used, remain separately licensed.
REMAIN • 1–12 months
If the village makes you more alive, keep living here. Graduates can move into an extended cabin, casita, or RV membership and help carry the culture.
ATTENTION PROTOCOL
LIGHTPORTAL is built for people with real responsibilities. Week one is a genuine device break. After that, a consent-based phone setup keeps calls, texts, email, navigation, and defined work blocks while making infinite-scroll habits difficult to reach.
10:12
THE REST CAN WAIT.

THE FIRST VILLAGE
The first site is envisioned as a 36-key village: 12 residency rooms, 16 longer-stay cabins or casitas, and 8 RV pads around a generous commons: one long table, one serious kitchen, a work lounge, studio, movement space, water, fire, shade, trails, and dozens of reasons to leave your room.
A DAY AT LIGHTPORTAL
Coffee, walking, breath, cold water, no feed.
Focused work or a village contribution.
Food that turns strangers into a household.
Training, studio time, gardening, swimming, building.
Dinner, fire, talks, music, games, unplanned life.
THIS MAY BE FOR YOU IF
You have built a life that works on paper, yet attention, energy, friendship, health, or momentum keep leaking out of it. You want a real interruption—and a better environment to practice inside.
IMPORTANT BOUNDARY
Clinical services, detoxification, psychedelic treatment, and acute psychiatric care are outside this concept unless delivered by separately licensed partners. Admission depends on fit, stability, and the village’s ability to support the person safely.
FOUNDING CIRCLE • AUSTIN
We are assembling the first residents, operators, land partners, culture-builders, and aligned capital for the Austin-area pilot.
